Shaping Resilient Humans

Growing up in a highly competitive tennis environment in South America—becoming national champion in Chile, and competing on the COSAT circuit before playing Division 1 tennis—I quickly realized that tennis is more than just a sport. It’s a journey of self-discovery, a way to confront inner insecurities, and an opportunity to build both physical and mental resilience.

I believe in a philosophy that prioritizes character development, emphasizing traits such as discipline, resilience, humility, and courage to face fears.

These qualities not only shape success on the court, but also foster personal growth, deeper self-understanding, and lasting self-confidence that will provide the tools needed to succeed in life.

As a student of Stoicism, I naturally strive to simplify things. A big part of my job is to break down ideas into their simplest form, making the message as clear as possible so it resonates with the student.

Mantras

These are the foundation of how I structure my work/life. The goal is to teach players the value of each concept, helping them grow not just as athletes, but as individuals. By embracing these principles, players can develop both on and off the court, using it as a framework for life:

Holistic Approach

It is essential to recognize that a player's performance is the result of multiple interconnected factors, each playing a unique role in maximizing their potential on the court. The body/mind form a highly complex system made up of various motor functions, each designed with the end goal of keeping us alive. The key is to align these elements organically, creating the most efficient and optimized version of ourselves.
